Current student affairs

As a student, you can stay up-to-date with what's going on in your faculty and at the UoC via BlackBoard. To enter BlackBoard, you need a username and password. The username and password you will get when you register at the Student Affairs. An effort is made to maintain a constant stream of information between the various faculties, services, student organizations etc. within the UoC.
One must (re) register annually by filling in a re-registration form, which can only be done online. Every student must take care of re-registration at the beginning of each new academic year.

Associations

There are various associations that UoC students may join, depending on their interests. There are clubs affiliated to a faculty or that belong to a degree program (study association). One can also join student associations that welcome students from a variety of faculties (student associations).
Each organization, different in character, helps develop valuable skills.
The following organizations are affiliated with the UoC:

• SIAS

The Student Council

The student Council is very important for the UoC, as this is the representation of the UoC's students. The Student Counsil’s main task is to advise the rector on issues concerning students, to inform your fellow-students about important developments and to guard the student interests.

Sports Facilities

You may use the various sports facilities at the UoC during your free time. The numerous sports clubs perform well locally and internationally. The following sports are on offer at the UoC: football, volleyball, basketball, softball, mini-football and dominos. Sports clubs arrange annual competitions between the different faculties, but also tournaments in which high schools (colleges) and other institutes of higher education are invited to participate.

Studying Abroad

All faculties of the UoC have very good contacts with universities in the Caribbean region, the United States and Europe. If you are considering studying abroad or participating in a student exchange then the first step is to contact the coordinator or dean in your faculty who can tell you exactly what the specific possibilities are within your degree program or faculty with regards to studying abroad. Lecturers can also be an excellent source of information if, for example, you wish to know which university could be an interesting partner in your field of study.
