About DQA
The Department of Quality Assurance is proud to support, guide and facilitate quality all throughout the UoC. We work from a clear vision that steers each of our actions. Quality is not about how many goals you reach, however, it is essential to how you get there. We believe that collaboration and exchanging information with colleagues allows us all to learn and become better professionals. Adhering to preconceived quality norms also makes it easier to be consistent in all the work that we do. Hence it is also our focus to promote this way of thought throughout the university; working to achieve (better) quality should be second nature to all our colleagues.
To systematically work on achieving quality at the UoC, we've defined 9 different domains that characterize our main tasks:
- Curriculum development and support
- Tests and examination
- Internal quality assurance
- External quality assurance
- Faculty quality assurance
- Professionalization
- Internationalization and collaboration
- Digitalization
- Communication and Information
The Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle offers us a handy system to always make sure we're continuing to work on raising the level of quality we want to achieve in our own projects and also the service we offer to our other colleagues. Our motto is clear representation of the way we work: Focus on getting better, rather than being good!
